How It Works

The cash payment process involves the following steps:

  1. Customer Selects Cash Payment: The customer chooses cash payment option during checkout and provides basic identification information.
  2. Payment Voucher Generation: Your application sends a payment request to Localpayment API, which generates a unique payment voucher with barcode/Reference number.
  3. Voucher Delivery: The customer receives the payment voucher electronically (email/SMS) or prints it for in-person payment.
  4. Cash Payment at Retail Location: The customer visits a participating retail partner, presents the voucher, and pays the amount in cash.
  5. Payment Confirmation: The retail partner processes the payment and Localpayment receives confirmation through integrated systems.
  6. Status Notification: Your application receives real-time updates on payment status via webhooks, allowing you to fulfill orders or services.
